Lalo's Polka
Dedicated to Edward "Lalo" Limon Sr. of Austin, Texas

Los Texas Wranglers
For over 30 years these talented musicians have performed with the best in Tejano, Conjunto, Blues, Jazz, R&B, and Country bands. For last 10 years they have, and continue to be, very successful as members of Los Texas Wranglers. Some of the musicians formed Los T-Birds to expand their musical talents into a more homestyle-type of Conjunto. Being from Austin, Texas, where Country and Blues are king, you will hear Los T-Birds perform these styles of songs too. This is a true Austin sound with focus on strong traditional conjunto. Anyone who has seen Los Texas Wranglers will be pleased to hear Los T-Birds.

Los T-Birds

Joyce Adams
Acoustic guitarist and vocalist from Austin/San Antonio. Joyce is one of best entertainers and vocalists in the Conjunto and Tejano industry. Even though she's a gringa, her singing Conjunto and Tejano sounds like she should have been ethnic (Chicana/Tejana). She brings great balance to our Conjunto and her diverse and bilingual abilities also allows the band more depth into other genres.

Rita Nikola Lopez "Nikki"
Vocalist and Los Texas Wranglers' public relations coordinator. Nikki is a very unique entertainer. She has a high energy stage presence and is also dubbed as Los Texas Wranglers' "Magic Potion." Nikki can make your troubles fade away. Once you see and hear Nikki, especially when she does her interpetation of the four phases of Tejano music, she will win you over. Nikki's norm is a four costume change to reflect the four phases of Tejano music. In other words what is expected of Tejano bands.
"Puro Conjunto" (Pure Squeeze Box Music) she dresses in her Zoot-Suit costume.
"Puro Tejano" (Pure Tejano Root Music) she dresses in her very Sexy and Sparkling costume.
"Mariachi Tejano"(Adopted Mexican-Base Folk) dressed in a modern Mexican wardrobe.
"Tejano Pop-Country"(Modern Country in English) very, very Modern Cowgirl costume.
Nikki and Joyce also perform our Tejano Treasures set which include some of Tejano Music super hits like: Si Tu Supieras-Cornelio Reyna y La Mafia, Ya Te Vi-Elsa Garcia, Como La Flor and Baila Esta Cumbia-Selena, Quiereme-Pio Treviño, Cuatro Caminos-Laura Canales, Te Vi Pasar-Freddie Martinez, Ya No Me Pones Atencion-Emilio Navaira, Las Nubes-Little Joe Y La Familia, Quiero, Quiero, Quiero-La Mafia, Por Un Amor-Johnny Hernandez, Te Quiero Mucho, Mucho-Los Garcia Brothers, Quiero Una Cita-Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution. You really have to experience this set. It really pays tribute to the Tejano greats without losing any integrity to the artist.

Sonny Trujillo
Accordionist-born and raised in Austin, Texas with over 40 years of playing his accordions professionally. His first performance was when he was 6 years old at the Zavala Elementary School Auditorium. As a member of Los Texas Wranglers, Sonny has been inducted into the Tejano Music Museum in Austin, Texas, the Texas Music Museum and The South Texas Conjunto Association's "Puro Conjunto Hall of Fame."

Tim Torres
Vocalist, Alto and Tenor Sax player. Born in Austin, Texas-Tim is an Austin treasure, playing sax for over 50 years and a Southwest Texas State University music major. Tim is truly a pilar of the success of Los Texas Wranglers. Tim sings most of our classic boleros and has recorded the classic boleros in the past four cds. Tim has deep roots in the Tejano genre. Tim had his own orquestra in the 80s in which he also recorded then too. Tim was also part of the original members of the Nash Hernandez Orchestra in Austin. He was eighteen years old when he was asked to join the orquestra. Now as a member of Los Texas Wranglers he is was given the lifetime member rights of Los Texas Wranglers in other words the gigs is Tims until he decides to leave the music industry. He is our rock and will never be asked to step-down that is our commitment to him.

Epifaño Sandoval Jr.
Bajo Sexto/Vocals born in Austin, Texas. He and his family use to have one of Austin's well known band, Conjunto Sandoval and now Junior is after many years away from his family band of brothers. Now with Los Texas Wranglers and Los T-Birds Junior was right back in the middle of it once again. It's like as if he was a teenager once more. That ambition to play and perform you can see it and hear it "He in his zone" Great person, a very entertainting. Junior loves his music. We're glad he's with us and playing his beautiful Bajo-Sexto

Amador Salazar
Electric Bass Guitar and lead vocalist. He has wooed people from Washington to the Rio Grande Valley. Los Texas Wranglers have twice been nominated for Best Duo in a Conjunto. Amador started with Julian when Los Texas Wranglers first began almost 10 years ago. They have won "Conjunto of the Year" several times and been honored, inducted and morialized as members of Los Texas Wranglers. Now Amador too is part of Los T-Birds. His reason for joining was "Whatever Julian creates often turns to gold"... one day soon Amador will be presented with a "Male Vocalist of the Year"award.

Julian L. Fernandez
The heart of the band, brings his many styles and techniques to his drumming and percussion. Watching Julian play the drums, moving all four limbs at the same time in different drum patterns, and watching his no effort-type movement is just magic. Julian starts each gig with a new pair of sticks because he often throws his sticks out to the audience and gives them to the youngsters who come watch him perform. Julian's leadership has always been "What can I do to make someone's day better" attitude. He brings out the best in all the musicians that surround him and expects only the best that they too can give to the audience. Also, FYI Julian L. Fernandez (Johnston Rams Band) All District Percussion 1 (3 years), All Region Percussion 1 (3 years), All Area Percussion 1 (3 years), UT Jazz band 2 years while at Johnston, AISD Orchestra and Latin Jazz Band 2 years. Thanks to Dr. Sherwin Allen of North Texas State University and Dr. Vincent R. DeNino and Ms Paula Crider University of Texas for their support and willingness to help out poor eastside boy. Goooo Raaammms!

Ladies and Gentlemen
Los Texas Wranglers will undoubtedly please all your expectations as a "Classic Tejano Conjunto"
