Ms. Joyce Adams

Joyce Adams
A genuine Texas treasure, truly San Antonio's best kept secret. Joyce has performed all around the world singing along with her acoustic guitar. She was 3 years in Japan performing her country girl Texas stlye Texas/Tejano music. On one paticular summer afternoon, Joyce was performing at Market Square in San Antonio as a solo act. Julian Fernandez of Los Texas Wranglers heard some singing outside of "Mi Tierra" restaurant so he got up from the table where all Los Texas Wranglers and wifes were having dinner. He followed the sound outside that's when he saw Joyce performing. Julian, stayed to listen to the entire set. Once Joyce was done performing. Julian, stayed to see what she was going to do. Julian was so impressed with her actions and demeaner she had about 40 people in line to meet and greet her. She signed autographs, tee shirts anything people wanted signed. She took pictures with everyone it was like Julian was watching a Patsy Cline movie. After Joyce finished she packed her guitar and was walking off the stage. Julian approached Joyce and complimented her on her performance, he went on to ask her questions like if she new what conjunto music was? Like a true San Antonian she said ohh heck yes Flaco Jimenez is one of my favorite accordionist.  So, to make a long story short Joyce was asked to join Los Texas Wranglers. It's now been over 5 years in 2010 that Joyce is a trademark sign with Los Texas Wranglers.
Joyce is County, Joyce is Tejano and Conjunto but most important Joyce is Los Texas Wranglers

Sonny Trujillo our accordionist from Austin, Texas. With over 40 years of playing his accordions professionally. His first performance was when he was 6 years old at the Zavala Elementary School Auditorium in Austin, Texas. As a member of Los Texas Wranglers, Sonny has been inducted into the Tejano Music Museum in Austin, Texas, the Texas Music Museum and The South Texas Conjunto Association's "Puro Conjunto Hall of Fame." Sonny continues performing with great enthusiasm; he is a true Tejano legend.

Tim Torres vocalist and Alto Sax player. Austin, Texas-Tim is an Austin treasure, playing sax for over 50 years. Tim is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University music major. Tim is truly a pillar of the success of Los Texas Wranglers. Tim sings most of our classic boleros and has recorded the classic boleros in the past four cds. Tim has deep roots in the Tejano genre. Tim had his own orquesta in the 80s in which he also recorded then too. Tim was also part of the original members of the Nash Hernandez Orchestra in Austin. He was eighteen years old when he was asked to join the orquesta. Now as a member of Los Texas Wranglers he is was given the lifetime member rights of Los Texas Wranglers in other words the gigs is Tim’s until he decides to leave the music industry.
Tim is our rock and will never be asked to step-down that is our commitment to him.

Epifaño Sandoval Jr. Bajo Sexto/Vocals born in Austin, Texas. He and his family use to have one of Austin's well known band, Conjunto Sandoval this was a band of brothers. Now with Los Texas Wranglers Junior was right back in the middle of it once again. It's like as if he was a teenager once more. That ambition to play and perform you can see it and hear it "He in his zone" Great person, a great musician. Junior loves his music. We're glad he's with us and playing his beautiful sounding Bajo-Sexto

Amador Salazar Electric Bass Guitarist and lead vocalist. He has wooed people from Washington state to the Rio Grande Valley. Los Texas Wranglers have twice been nominated for Best Duo in a Conjunto. Amador started with Julian when Los Texas Wranglers first began almost 10 years ago. They have won "Conjunto of the Year" several times and been honored, inducted and moralized as members of Los Texas Wranglers. His reason for joining was "Whatever Julian creates often turns to gold"... one day soon Amador will be presented with a "Male Vocalist of the Year” award. In March 2010 Amador, Willie Nelson and Ray Benson were amongst the top 10 vocalist at the Austin Music Awards which is sponsored by the Austin Chronicle and SXSW.

Julian L. Fernandez
The heart of the band brings his many styles and techniques to his drumming and percussion. Watching Julian play the drums, moving all four limbs at the same time in different drum patterns, and watching his no effort-type movement is just magic. Julian starts each gig with a new pair of sticks because he often throws his sticks out to the audience and gives them to the youngsters who come watch him perform. Julian's leadership has always been "What can I do to make someone's day better" attitude. He brings out the best in all the musicians that surround him and expects only the best that they too can give to the audience. Also, FYI Julian L. Fernandez (Johnston Rams Band) All District Percussion 1 (3 years), All Region Percussion 1 (3 years), All Area Percussion 1 (3 years), UT Jazz band 2 years while at Johnston, AISD Orchestra and Latin Jazz Band 2 years. Thanks to Dr. Sherwin Allen of North Texas State University and Dr. Vincent R. DeNino and Ms Paula Crider University of Texas for their support and willingness to help out poor eastside boy. Goooo Raaammms!
